Greetings from New Hope and State College, Pennsylvania! We are excited about the vision and mission that God has given us, but due to space, we will focus on ministry happenings. If you are interested in

The biggest highlight from this fall was the launching of our public worship service on September 24th. We have consistently had new people coming every week and are beginning to see a higher level of commitment among people. For example, we have three people who are one step away from joining the ministry team of thechurch and an individual who recently approached us about being baptized.
Apart from the weekly worship service, we have also been intentional about discipleship through small groups. Currently, we are holding six weekly small groups — a men’s group, a women’s group, a Psalms study, two Christian worldview studies, and our ministry team. Through these groups, we have seen three people commit to walking with Jesus for the first time, and two people accept calls into full-time ministry.
We wish space permitted more detail, but in closing, allow us to further share with you these brief glimpses of what God has been doing through New Hope in the last year:
- A former drug addict has been transformed by the Spirit and has made a first time commitment to Jesus.
- The establishment of a men’s ministry and a women’s ministry that are transforming families as well as
- individuals.
- An evangelistic study involving 11 college students.
- The discipleship of a young man who has embraced a call into pastoral ministry and will be going to Valley Forge Bible College this fall.
- A member of our small groups is working towards becoming a Bible translator for Wycliffe Bible Translators.
- Please pray that God will continue to reach the lost, and raise up leaders among us, because the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
