For 53 years, the Brethren Clinic in Rajahmundry, India, has stood as an unwavering beacon of hope, providing continuous, holistic health care to the community. We are honored to celebrate this significant 53rd Anniversary milestone, which reflects decades of dedication to ministry and service. Since its founding, the clinic has served well over a million people, a remarkable accomplishment that reflects both God’s enduring faithfulness and the sustained generosity of the Brethren Church and its partners.

The clinic offers far more than basic medical aid; it offers dignity and hope. The dedicated staff treats a wide spectrum of ailments that affect those living in poverty, from common colds and simple wounds to complex, chronic issues like malnutrition and diabetes.

Every individual who walks through the doors receives care that ministers to the whole person. In addition to medical treatment, patients often receive bottles of Horlicks, a nourishing, thin yogurt-like drink that helps regulate body temperature and combat nutritional deficiencies. Additionally – and crucially – each person receives prayer. The clinic remains a place where healing is sought for the soul as well as the body. The work done here powerfully reflects the promise of God found in Scripture: “I am the Lord that heals thee” (Exodus 15:26).

Standing on 53 years of unwavering faith and continuous service, the Brethren Clinic remains a pillar of hope in Rajahmundry. The doctors, nurses, and staff continue their daily ministry with dedication and grace.
