A Final Report from New Song Community Church
Brethren Church
January 11, 2023

Dear friends and former members of New Song Community Church,

We pray and trust that you have all settled into new churches by now and are continuing to grow and mature in Christ.

As members of the New Song Closing Team, we would like to give you a brief accounting of the many ways New Song was able to bless others and advance the kingdom of God, even in the process of closing.

As many of you know, the land and building were sold to Sacred Space Midwifery, owned by a Christian midwife, who has established a beautiful family birthing center which she has called New Song Community Wellness. The miracle of new birth is celebrated over and over now within those walls!

With proceeds from the sale and cash in New Song’s bank accounts, monetary donations were made to the following ministries:

SonSet Solutions

The Table Gathering

SPA Women’s Shelter

Five Star Life

Mason Street Baptist Church

Kessington Community Church

Chapel Hill Missionary Church

Sugar Grove Church (human trafficking cause)

Adamsville Road Church of God

Ribbon of Hope Ministries

Good Shepherd Orphanage, Peru

Brethren Retreat Center at Shipshewana

Jefferson Community Church

Turkey Tracks Hunt

Heart City Church

RETA Clinic and Family Center

First Brethren Church, South Bend

Church Community Services

Once all these monetary donations were made, the remainder, $70,000, was donated to the Brethren Church for the purpose of helping start new church plants. This is the same amount of money that New Song received from Winding Waters Brethren Church when New Song was first planted in 2001!

In addition, after much sorting, packing, and cleaning, and selling of some items, many donations of physical items went to the following:

Bristol Public Library

Hubbard Hill

Bristol Community Food Pantry

Maryland church plant (Brethren church)

Brethren Retreat Ministries

SPA Inc.

Table Gathering

Roanoke Brethren Church

First Brethren Church of South Bend

Crossroads Church Preschool

We are amazed and humbled by the magnitude of the work God is doing through the lives of so many of us through the years, and confident that He will continue to work in us, through us, and through these gifts that He enabled New Song to make to impact so many others.

Thank you for your investment in New Song and your openness to the work God continues to do.

In Christ,

Linda Bowser, Bryan Jackson, Sharon Hennessy, Steve and Debbie Jackson.
