The Brethren Compound in Rajahmundry, India, recently became a sanctuary of shared joy and spiritual renewal. It wasn’t just a meeting of colleagues, but a true homecoming for 134 pastors and their wives who traveled from across the region to find a rare moment of rest. Accompanied by their children and the dedicated Brethren staff, these families gathered not to manage a ministry, but to reconnect with the heart of their calling and with one another.
Throughout the weekend, the air was thick with the sound of worship and the quiet, heavy wisdom of leaders who serve on the front lines. The teaching focused on the raw, practical realities of life in the field. There was a stirring call to revival, an invitation for every family to walk more closely with Jesus in the quiet rhythms of their daily lives. Latha shared a deeply moving devotion on faithfulness, speaking directly to the reality of serving through trials and persecution, while Samuel led a thoughtful study on the Jesus model of leadership—reminding everyone that the greatest ministry is rooted in the simplest of truths.
A profound sense of history anchored the event. The group paused to honor the legacy of their founder, Prasanth Kumar, marking five years since his passing. Nirmala shared reflections that brought his vision back to life, reminding the room that a life lived for Christ leaves a wake that continues to pull others forward. This spirit of remembrance extended to two fellow pastors who recently entered their eternal rest; it was a bittersweet moment that honored their finished race while strengthening the resolve of those still running.
These moments of remembrance and spiritual renewal are the vital fuel for the ministry, yet they are only made a reality through the commitment of our global family. This weekend of revival was only possible because of a wider family of supporters who believe in this mission. When you stand with this ministry, you aren’t just funding an event; you are providing a seat at the table for a weary pastor and a moment of peace for a servant’s family.
Your prayers and generosity provide the foundation for these moments of inspiration. Thank you for being such a vital part of what God is doing in India, and for ensuring that these families never have to walk their path of service alone!
