It was a blustery day, but it didn’t stop us from opening our playground equipment with prayer on Sunday, November 16.  God has blessed us tremendously, and we were able to purchase this equipment for our own children and the children in the community.  

Bethlehem Brethren Church (Harrisonburg, VA) has apartment buildings all around us, and one thing is missing… playground equipment for kids.  So, following God’s lead into welcoming our community, we placed this playground piece that will serve us and others.  Since putting it up, there has not been a day when a church member has been there that community children have not visited our grounds.  One mom thanked Pastor Gail for putting it up and allowing them to play, since her children haven’t had access to playground equipment for a very long time.  

We only had one small spot where the equipment could be placed, and it fit perfectly!  The next improvement is to make a sitting area there for moms, dads, and grandparents to rest while they watch.  We want to make the area a place of peace where people can feel God’s presence.  We also want to add a birdbath, some more chairs, a table, and some yard decorations to make this place inviting and relaxing.  We also have a blessing box to add, which will hold some food items plus Bibles and devotionals.  God is good…all the time!
