Brethren Kids Learn About Foot Washing
Brethren Church
October 2, 2018

As the weather makes the inevitable shift toward cooler temperatures, many Brethren Churches across North America will host three-fold communion. Three-fold communion is a gathering where Brethren partake in

all

portions of the last supper; the love feast, the bread and cup, and the washing of each others’ feet.

In preparation, Park Street Brethren Church (Ashland, OH) shares with us how they’re teaching kids in the church the importance of the practice, and the meaning behind it. Children at Park Street’s Kids Ministry learned scripture from John 13, and were asked to serve each other just how Jesus did. The children then took part in a foot washing service.

View the pictures of the kindergarten and first graders washing each other’s feet below. How does your church teach children about our most important faith practices?
