Mike Meadows Ordained at First Brethren Church of Oak Hill
Brethren Church
November 19, 2025

On Sunday, October 26th, First Brethren Church of Oak Hill (WV) held its annual Homecoming. But this year, they also got to celebrate the ordination of their pastor, Mike Meadows.

George Rameriz, a friend of Mike Meadows and pastor in San Antonio, Texas, gave the Homecoming message. He talked about legacy and how, as Christians, we are called to pass the baton to the next generation.  And speaking of the next generation, after the message, the young people of the church gave us an entertaining puppet show.

After the conclusion of the Homecoming service, the ordination service was held for Mike Meadows, with Brethren Elders John Nadeau and Gail Heiston performing the service.  It was a moving service for those watching, as well as for those leading it!  Mike has served his church and the Brethren well, and seeing him installed as an Elder in the Brethren Church was a wonderful moment to be a part of.  At the end of the service, Mike commented that God has perfect timing and that this was the time and day to celebrate.

After the service, the people of Oak Hill treated everyone to a wonderful luncheon.  George Rameriz and his wife, Jen, joined us for the fellowship time, as did Ryan Snuffen and his wife, Kelly.  Ryan is working on the church plant in Beckley, WV.  It was great fellowshipping with these couples and the people of Oak Hill.  Hospitality is their specialty… not only in food, but also in friendship.  They make you feel part of the family for sure!
