On Sunday June 2nd, Milford First Brethren Church (Milford, Indiana) celebrated 7 baptisms at nearby Waubee Lake Park.
“Family” seemed to be the theme as several siblings, along with a mother and her daughter, took this step. Two separate sets of parents and grandparents conducted the actual ordinance.
In classic Brethren tradition, the baptisms were followed by a wonderful fellowship meal hosted by the church alongside other family and friends who were in attendance as guests for the occasion.
The beauty of the day was accentuated by the fact that several of the individuals baptized were ministered to by Camp Shipshewana. Other individuals baptized became part of the Milford First Brethren Church family as a direct result of our church’s involvement in the GSE (Gatherer-Shepherd-Elder) Outreach model.
