Ministry Training Continues in South Africa
Brethren Church
December 7, 2021

Currently, ten South African church planters are engaging in ministry and weekly classes. These planters will be ordained as the first Brethren Elders in South Africa. Through The Brethren Church’s partnership with Ashland Theological Seminary, Dr. Jason Barnhart has been teaching Brethren history and doctrine to the South African leaders.

Many of the planters have been hard at work engaging their communities. They are working to clean up after the riots and looting in the aftermath of

South Africa’s political unrest this summer

. They are bringing hope and peace through prayer, revival, and simple acts of kindness.

Mallorie Dladla (a Brethren elder in the North Central region) and her husband Nkosinathi returned to South Africa for a wedding recently. They brought Book of Joshua scripture journals (the same given to each attendee at General Conference 2021) as gifts for the South African leaders.
