Callings, Anointings, and Spirit-fillings — the most accurate way to describe The Gathering at Camp Peniel! On August 9th & 10th, the Northeast Region once again hosted a Jesus-filled weekend at Camp Peniel in Meyersdale, PA, with over 200 in attendance from 26 churches. Saturday’s service opened with The Elect Band from Lancaster, PA, preparing our hearts in worship. After that, Mark Geppert, Founder of Southeast Asia Prayer Center (SEAPC), brought the Word with a focus on the weekend’s theme, “The Power of Prayer.”
Many were touched, and worship and prayer continued late into the night. On Sunday morning, Pastor Luke Dowdy (Berlin Brethren Church) and others led us in worship. Mark Geppert continued where he left off the night before. It was a weekend resulting in deep commitments to discipleship, anointings, and callings into the ministry. Outside of services, many enjoyed fellowship, meals, prayer stations, prayer points, camp activities, campfires, and the opportunity to hear from three Christian authors also in attendance.
