Though the cloud of COVID still lingers for many of your partners, the Brethren in India continue to move into the bright sunshine. Churches in every village and city have reopened fully just in time for lent and the busy Easter season. Rajahmundry and Visakhapatnam, where the largest churches reside, were packed to overflowing on Easter Sunday with several services. In Rajahmundry, they even made more space to accommodate people in the courtyard, with services playing on large LCD screens under the big tents to keep the weather off those in attendance.
May first was another day of rejoicing as eleven new brothers and sisters were baptized into the faith. Afterward, all participants engaged in Communion services as well. What a delight and joy! Many welcomed them into the kingdom with songs of praise to the Father and communion with Christ. Amen!
Although some of the COVID restrictions are still in place, most of the services have resumed, including the sewing schools, medical clinics, and outreach programs. In May and June, the Brethren are excited and hopeful to experience the return of boys and girls to the Orphanage and Home for Children. Please be in prayer that the ministry will suffer no further delays. It will have been just over two whole years since the home was shut down.
