STORIES

I cannot praise our partners in Pucusana enough. I love their work in Peru and their dreams for the future ministry there! I learned so much about the world and ministry while working with The Pucusana Project team. I came back to the US with a hunger for God, leading me to take on new roles and be more involved in my church. I cannot wait to see what God has for the future!

I had the privilege of serving as a pilot intern for the Brethren Global Partners team with Naomi in Pucusana, Peru, in the fall of 2023. We were so blessed to be able to work and learn alongside Alli and Topher Wallace and their team at the Pucusana Project. We helped in their reinforcement classes and mobile library each week by assisting them with planning executing, and leading the kids club, a bible class between the primary and secondary school. Each week, we would spend time in the office planning our curriculum, at the school cleaning, and ministry on Fridays and Saturdays. It was a life-changing experience where I created friendships and learned about myself, the Lord, and what it means to run a non-profit in more ways than I could have imagined. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have pioneered this program and excited to see how Alli, Topher, and their team continue to spread the word and love of Jesus all over Pucusana. I am also excited about this internship program and cannot wait to see other people experience God in new ways when they take the next step as an international intern for the Brethren Church.

South Africa is unforgettable. The people, the music, the dancing and the Mountains. When they say the land of a thousand hills, bring stuff for those who get car sick. Trust me.

I sang with the worship team, danced, and taught children’s church. Through it all, with wonderful, beautiful souls, we worshiped God almighty and became an even bigger family. Learning both their culture and language was challenging and inspiring. Their hospitality and love for family, friends, and even strange people from across the ocean are beyond words.
