About 80 Brethren gathered together on the afternoon of August 25 for worship, a picnic, and fellowship! They came from the First Brethren Church of Pleasant Hill, The Brethren Church of New Lebanon, Gratis First Brethren Church, and West Alexandria First Brethren Church, all in southwest Ohio. We were also blessed by guests from Oak Street Brethren Church of West Alexandria, Ohio, who accepted our invitation to join us. Oak Street Brethren is an independent Brethren church that recently withdrew from the Church of the Brethren.
The West Alexandria Brethren hosted the event at their shelter, a picnic pavilion where they worship on Sunday mornings during the summer. We sang praises to the Lord, read Scripture, worshiped Him, prayed, and shared answers to the question, “What’s God been up to in your church and in your life?” The sharing was so encouraging! One man shared his testimony of recently getting saved & baptized! People shared that their churches are growing. Others shared how they are seeking direction from the Lord! There was special music and more! The worship time was followed by a delicious picnic and then fun games of all kinds! People really enjoyed having time to talk with each other! It was such a blessing for all who attended!
Thank you to the North Central Region Leadership Team for sponsoring this event!
