After a brief hiatus, The Brethren Church Facebook page is back online!
Here is the link for you to go follow our new Facebook page:

As we reintroduce ourselves to the Facebook platform, we want to be transparent with you about our social media strategy moving forward. We are committed to living out our mission statement in this virtual space. Here is that statement:
“The mission of the Brethren Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who,
united in Christ, embrace and reflect God’s love and live
in the transforming presence and power of the Holy Spirit.”
Just as there are many parts to one body and many parts of the Body of Christ with different strengths and gifts, we believe that there are different platforms that are ideal for living out our mission statement, and social media is one of those platforms. We believe your congregations and ministries are the best places to make disciples, not a social media page. However, we also believe social media can be an effective platform to help unite us as one people, reflecting God’s love, and living by example in the transforming presence and power of the Holy Spirit.
Therefore, we are holding ourselves accountable to the mission statement that we as a denomination have adopted together: Through our posts and comments, we are committed to being united in Christ, embracing and reflecting God's love always, and living in the transforming power and presence of the Holy Spirit.
This means that we will be posting content that is edifying to our followers, showing God's love, and offering opportunities for them to grow closer to God and others. We will not allow ourselves to be swayed away from our mission by the social issues of the day, rather we will attempt to follow the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit, and consistently point people toward God.
Please pray for us in this endeavor, and interact and comment on our posts, while also staying committed to our shared mission statement. Let's all hold each other accountable in love, and let's see what exciting things God has for us in this season! Follow us here:
