Because of its location nestled in the middle of the intermountain west, most of us attending Brethren General Conference this year will be flying. Boise Airport is located in southeast Boise, and is just four miles from the Boise Center, home of the 2022 Brethren General Conference and Engage Conference. But how do you cover those last four miles? And how do you get around town once you've arrived in Boise? We have some good news!
You don't have to rent a car (unless you want to) to get around Boise, so skip the expense of renting, parking, and filling up a car. The City of Boise has conveniently organized this
Public Transportation Guide to help you get around, and a one-stop
website that has all the details that you'll need to hop a taxi, bus, bicycle, or scooter! Or if you'd rather walk, check out the recent
blog post about all of the dining options within a 10-minute walk of the Boise Center.
Pro tip: take the Valley Regional Transit (VRT) Route 3/Vista Bus (it's the orange route) from Boise Airport to the Main Street Station underneath Boise Centre East. The Ride is about 20 minutes and costs just $1.50/$0.75 for seniors 65+. The fare can be paid with cash on the bus or via the Umo Mobility app which is available in your app store.
