CrossWay Christian Fellowship of Hagerstown, MD, held its annual Vacation Bible School from July 15 through July 19, 2024. This year, over 40 kids cruised through the 7 C’s History of the Bible in the Great Jungle Adventure by Answers in Genesis. At this VBS, the kids explored the answers to important questions including: Did God really create everything, why do bad things happen, and why do I need to be saved? They started the VBS with an opening assembly where they sang many fun songs including “Jungle Jam” and the “Manatee Song.” During the Mission Minute, they learned about El Shaday School that CCF supports in Quita, Guinea-Bissau, Africa. They learned about the students and how different and difficult their life is in Africa. The kids raised over $500.00 for the school and the students in Africa.
After the opening assembly, they rotated through different stations, including Rain or Shine Bible Time, where they explored the answers to their questions as they journeyed from Genesis to Revelation. At the Rainforest Recreation station, they went outside and had great fun playing kickball and gaga ball. A highlight was the water fun evening, where they got wet trying to catch water balloons. At the Tree-mendous Crafts station, they made fun crafts such as straw snakes, a rain gauge, 7 C’s necklace, and a tricky triangle game. They enjoyed munching on many tropical treats at the Canopy Café station. Through this cruise, the kids grew as many of their questions were answered, giving them a greater understanding of who God is, His word, and how His word applies to them. It was a magnificent voyage.
